Not only is Rage opening in cinemas in the US and in Britain in the next few days, but the DVD of the film is being released overseas and Australians will be able to download episodes of the movie over the Internet from Monday week, just days after its cinema release; and also they are releasing in the US, Britain, Italy, France, Germany and Spain a mobile device version enabling folks in this countries to watch the movie on iPhones and iPods in daily installments over seven days, starting tomorrow. It’s the first time a feature film will premiere on mobile phones.

Soon, I realized that just it was not going to happen, connecting them that way wont help me get any file transferred; So we had to relay on our RS232 network connection.

But since then things have change a lot,  and now that idea have become a reality (somehow): iTwin, is a device that allows to connect two computers via  USB connected device (on each computer) and share files, so far, this just looks like any other sharing solution out there; the interesting twist of this device is that it uses the internet connection as a funnel to deliver the information between the two computers, in other words; it’s like the two computer where connected by an invisible (actually Internet) USB cable. According to iTwin designers web site users have the same experience as if the were using a flash drive, no software installation, no logins or passwords but still the solution provides a secure connection between computers and if one of the devices is removed the connection is stoped.

Tonight the farmer from Kentucky has received his gift, he is the winner of America’s Got Talent 2009;receiving one million dollar prize as well as the Las Vegas headline show.

After the long season, The America’s Got Talent 2009 Top 10 finalists were:

“We basically live on a rock ourselves,” said co-discoverer Artie Hatzes, director of the Thuringer observatory in Germany. “It’s as close to something like the Earth that we’ve found so far. It’s just a little too close to its sun.” It’s hot, they’re calling it the lava planet,” Hatzes said.

The planet is called Corot-7b. It was first discovered earlier this year. European scientists then watched it dozens of times to measure its density to prove that it is rocky like Earth. It’s in our general neighborhood, circling a star in the winter sky about 500 light-years away. Each light-year is about 6 trillion miles.

But MIT’s Icarus team managed the same feat using only off-the-shelf items, and for a measly cost of $150. Here’s how they did it.

The MIT students list everything that they used to assemble the launch vehicle, including a prepaid Motorola i290 phone with GPS, a cell phone charger and disposable hand warmers to keep everything operable at the cold high altitudes. Basic materials such as newspaper, zip ties, duct tape and a Styrofoam beer cooler also came in handy.

Launch day took place on September 2, 2009 from Sturbridge, Massachusetts. The balloon ultimately reached a height of 17.5 miles at the uppermost part of the stratosphere, before popping and returning to Earth via parachute 20 miles away from the launch site.

That would shrink the video rental chain by more than 20 percent as it struggles against stiff competition from Netflix and Redbox. The store closures disclosed in documents filed Tuesday shows Blockbuster is having to cut much deeper than it anticipated to save money and keep its lenders happy.
Blockbuster now expects to close between 810 and 960 of its U.S. stores through 2010, up from its the 380 to 425 stores that normally would be closed. If Blockbuster hits the high end of the new target for store closures, it will represent 22 percent of its 4,356 U.S. stores. The Dallas-based company has closed 276 stores so far this year.
