Escribo este artículo con ocasión a las recientes declaraciones del comandante presidente, en las cuales, aseguró que la culpa de esta situación es de la burgesía.

Esto fue lo que dijo:

Si el Banco Central de Venezuela, “quemara todas sus reservas internacionales, no vamos a bajar ese dolar paralelo, porque sencillamente la burguesía y los que manejan las bolsas de valores, los bancos privados y todos sus derivados, que se las saben todas, porque tienen toda su vida en eso, y sus conexiones internacionales, (…) no obedecen a llamados de conciencia”.

“El salto del dolar paralelo (…) ahí hay un alto componente especulativo igual, porque Cadivi ha flexibilizado, ha estado pagando deudas del último trimestre del año pasado, miles de millones de dólares, el Banco Central incluso ha estado quemando reservas, interviniendo en el mercado y el dolar paralelo para arriba y arriba, hay que golpear la especulación no hay otra alternativa es el capitalismo”, manifestó Chávez.

Presidente, lo invito a que haga el siguiente ejercicio y verá como se resuelva el problema, despida su ministro de finanzas y de economía; esos a los que usted en esas declaraciones acaba de dejar al descubierto; diciendo que no saben nada de economía ni de finanzas y que no tiene contactos en el extranjero; contrate a esos banqueros, si a esos burgueses, que si tienen toda una vida haciendo y manejando finanzas, que se la saben todas y hágale que le entreguen su carrera y su fortuna si llegaran a fracasar en la recuperación de la economía Venezolana y verá como se recupera la economía nacional.

Se que los seguidores de Presidente dirán: ¿Zamuro cuidando carne? pero les invito a analizarlo desde la siguiente perspectiva: ustedes los revolucionarios, quieren que este sea el mejor país del mundo y que todo seamos felices en el, y que se acabe el capitalismo ¿correcto?. ahora bien esa frase comprende varias cosas, la primera y la mas importante de todas es que esa frase tiene incluida el termino CONVIVENCIA, pues no todos los seres humanos somos creados iguales, ni queremos ser iguales, por eso a lo largo de nuestro desarrollo creamos nuestra personalidad y forma de ver las cosas. para alcanzar el socialismo debemos primero poder CONVIVIR todos en armonía, socialistas, comunistas, capitalista, negros, blancos, chinos, feos, bonitos, altos, bajo, católicos, musulmanes, evangélicos, es decir TODOS debemos respetar y valorar a cada grupo,  a cada tendencia dentro de la sociedad; de lo contrario siempre tendremos una Clase Opresora y una Clase Oprimida y es eso lo que precisamente queremos evitar; y es eso lo que en definitiva busca un sistema SOCIALISTA de verdad, el equilibrio entre todas las clases sociales que lo componen.

El gobierno no puede seguir reciclando ministros y mucho menos colocando en puestos claves personas que no tienen ni la experiencia, ni el conocimiento como para poder proveerle al país resultados satisfactorios ; para muestra un botón, estos ministros, no han podido controlar a los capitalistas criollos mucho menos podrán con los extranjeros. Pero es que ademas no se trata solamente de un problema donde la burguesía quiera sacar al presidente del poder y que sean unos avaros desmedidos que quieren secar al país; el problema es un poco más complejo, pues también tiene mucho que ver con lo ineficiente que ha sido este gobierno en materia de diversificación de la producción y como en vez de ser un ente regulador y director, este gobierno a preferido ser Quincallero, Panadero, Arepero, Cementero, Carnicero y en su equivocado afán de controlar directamente todo , desde los canales de distribución hasta los canales de venta, simplemente ha minado la posibilidad de que la economía se recupere de manera eficiente; pues en el gobierno, a nadie de le duele el dinero; porque sencillamente no salió de su bolsillo  y mientras más grande el gobierno más dinero se pierde. Este es un gobierno bien grande pues tienen en su nomina más de 3.500.00 empleados públicos (no todos son santos).

Ahora bien, dicho lo anterior les pregunto que creen ustedes que es más fácil controlar : 3.500.000 empleados o a 24 ministros, a los ministro, cierto, porque son menos; ahora que sera más fácil controlar a 2 ministros o Todos los bancos, Casas de bolsa, Sociedades corretaje del país: a los dos ministros verdad; entonces yo recomendaría buscar dentro de esos bancos, casa de bolsa, y sociedades de corretaje a los individuos que posean el perfil necesario para asumir las carteras ministeriales, no en nombre del gobierno sino en nombre del país; porque mas importante que la revolución socialista lidera da por Chávez es la estabilidad y la felicidad de los 26.000.000 que conformamos Venezuela.

Estoy seguro que si el gobierno pide la ayuda sincera y desinteresada de los Venezolanos con experiencia, sin tener que atacar y mancillar a quienes piensan diferente, podemos hacer de Venezuela el país que todos queremos tener.

El mundo está cambiando y es cierto,el capitalismo ha fracasado estrepitosamente en alcanzar sus objetivos

El viernes en la mañana, una serie de marcas identificadas como “Made for” y cuyo propietario es ahora Apple; fueron publicadas por la Oficina de Marcas y Patentes de los Estados Unidos (USTPO); las cuales incluyen los iPod, iPhone y iPad; en una movida inusual por parte del USTPO, la marca de Apple “iTunes Live” fue publicada ayer; lo que parece un asunto sin precedentes. Ambas solicitudes de Apple se encuentran registradas bajos los números  85030139 y 85030144; y las marcas se encuentran registradas bajo la Clase Internacional 035 para  “Servicios de venta al detal por medios electrónicos en el campo del entretenimiento (Online retail store services in the field of entertainment)” y la Clase Internacional 041 para “Servicios de Entretenimiento (Entertainment services.)”

Hewlett Packard (HP) anunció la compra de Palm. Realizará la transacción en efectivo; por un un monto de 1.2 Billones de dólares. Es una decisión que tomo a la industria por sorpresa pero que tiene mucho sentido. HP  es un jugador muy importante en la industria de la tecnología, pero no tiene una presencia importante en muy creciente mundo de la computación móvil, mientras que Palm si.

Ahora bien, es importante destacar que la oferta no es oficial todavía. Palm y HP tienen que pasar a través de una serie de obstáculos regulatorios en primer lugar, incluida la revisión de  la SEC y la FTC. Ese proceso no se espera que esté terminado, cuando muy pronto, hasta el tercer trimestre fiscal de HP, el cual termina en julio. Cuando todo este listo, HP invertirá 1,2 billones de dólares en efectivo para comprar todas las acciones en circulación de Palm, actualmente valoradas en 5,70 dólares por acción. Palm pasarán a formar parte de HP Personal Systems Group, dirigido por Jon Rubinstein, quien espera que se mantenga tambien  la mayor parte del resto del equipo directivo.

Visa Iphone Payment System

Visa pronto permitirá a los propietarios del iPhone realizar pagos inalámbricos con tarjeta de crédito en terminales especiales, segun se desprende de un reciente comunicado de prensa.  El concepto implica la utilización de un software personalizado llamado Visa payWave, que vendrá preinstalado en una tarjeta de memoria.

Debido a que el iPhone carece de una ranura de memoria externa, el sistema requiere un case que ya fue certificado por Apple. Para hacer un pago, los usuarios sólo tendrán que pasar el iPhone frente a la terminal las cuales se encontrarán convenientemente ubicadas en taxis, restaurantes, estadios y tiendas minoristas. Las pruebas de esta tecnología están programadas para comenzar este verano, y soportaran como mínimo el iPhone 3G y 3GS.

Quien podría imaginar hace 10 años atrás que hoy pudiéramos usar nuestros teléfonos celulares como tarjetas de crédito.

With Comptroller Russian in denial, corruption goes into the billions of dollars » FB1

The Comptroller Clodosvaldo Russian, also called Ruffian by those that “love” him, is a funny man, or he may think he is being funny when he tells us that corruption under his watch has gone down. Well, he is either deaf and dumb, or so partisan that he refuses to see beyond his nose. More amazingly, Russ(ff)ian always manages to stick his neck out and defend the President whenever Chavez is in trouble, like he did two days ago on the anniversary of the 2000 Constitution vote. He even said that there were “paid companies” to make public denunciations of corruption in order to make the Government (i.e. his boss the autocrat/Dictator Hugo Chavez) look bad. And I reiterate he actually had the gall to say corruption has gone down under his watch.

In fact, this whole thing by Russian and others seemed to be a well designed campaign to defend Chavez from any possibility that he is accused of having known about all of the financial corruption that has taken eight banks down.

It actually all started with Chavez suggesting he had only seen Arne Chacon once in his life. Sure Hugo, the funny thing is that Arne was not only the brother of your Uber Minister Jesse, but actually worked for a while at Miraflores and you want us to believe you never heard of him. Chavez called Arne a “pata en el suelo” (A person so poor, that goes barefoot). Well, this happens to be quite similar to what we have been saying in this blog, not only about Arne Chacon, but also about other bolibourgeois groups which have made hundreds of millions of dollars in the last few years.

Now we are supposed to believe that corruption is down, after Fernandez Barrueco and his group ransacked four banks and billions in two years and Arne Chacon and Pedro Torres “spent” half a billion dollars  buying financial institutions this year alone. Because it was Chavez who publicly hailed Fernandez on his Alo Presidente program as the type of enterprising private sector people the revolution needed. Some social conscience, no?

And Hugo’s brother Adan threatened to take to Court anyone that accuses him of corruption, a very serious threat in a country where his brother can send a Judge to prison for following the law. Strange thing is that Adan never clarified whether he knew Fernandez Barrueco or not, or whether Fernandez ever visited him while Adan was Ambassador to Cuba.

And former Vice President/Minister of Defense/Minister of Foreign Relations Jose Vicente Rangel also joined the chorus suggesting this is all a conspiracy against Chavez. Apparently, he has not seen the DISIP report last February which said the Superintendence of Banks knew that some of the intervened banks were being used as a “money centrifuge” for the personal benefit of the members of the Board. I wonder what part of that sentence the Comptroller does not understand.

And the funny (not in the ha ha sense) thing is that all of a sudden the same Superintendent of Banks that did nothing for years (YES, YEARS!) in terms of approving or denying the transfer of ownership of banks, is now on a rampage of resolutions denying the purchase of the very same banks that were being run by the bolibourgeois new wave financiers for years, most of them (all?) bankrupt by now.

But we are supposed to believe that Chavez, who regularly threatens us that he knows everything that is happening in Venezuela, did not know about any of this or that corruption has gone down.In the words of the Comptroller, those accusing the Government of corruption don’t do like him the detailed “quantitative, analytical” work that his office does.

Well, let’s just take one case and let’s be analytical and quantitative like Mr. Russ(ff)ian wants us to be and I hope someone brings this information to his eyes, I will not waste my time denouncing it. They know and have all of this information:

Ricardo Fernandez Barrueco had a small trucking company and managed a parking lot in 2002. He helped the Government during the 2002 strike by lending it his few trucks. Because of this, he received easy credit to buy some 3,000 trucks in the next couple of years and became “The King of Mercal”, the main supplier of food to Chavez’ pet project Mercal, a nationwide chain of markets where food was sold at low prices.

For quite a while, a copy of Fernandez Barrueco’s financials, audited by a prestigious accounting firm have been circulating (here). In late December 2005, his net worth had soared to US$ 1.6 billion, BEFORE he even started buying (and emptying) banks:

To be exact we are talking about US$ 1.609 billion in assets once his debt of US$ 18,977 dollars is subtracted. This would place Mr Fernandez in less than three years in the top three or four of Venezuela’s richest people.

Let’s put this in perspective: The fastest growing company in the history of the world was Google, you can find the Prospectus of its IPO here. Founded in 1999, Google had a loss of US$ 6 million that year, lost 14 million in 2000 and earned 6.9 million in 2001, 99 million in 2002. 105 million in 2003. Thus, in its first four years of existence the fastest growing company in the history of the world Google, made in profit US$ 191 million.

Well, Mr. Fernandez Barrueco had in late 2005 the following assets: (Here and Here)

Thus, Mr. Fernandez Barrueco in about half the time as Google, I repeat, the fastest growing company in the history of the world, had accumulated personally (I imagine in dividends) US$ 411 million, which he invested in a bunch of bonds and about US$148 million in CD’s (A bit conservative for my taste).

Well, Mr. Russian, this should raise some eyebrows in your “analytical” and “quantitative” mind or team, if there is one. Mr. Barrueco with a diversified food and transportation business, was able to do better than the fastest growing company in the history of the world. But even worse, he is (was?) probably much richer in 2009, because his empire had expanded and gone into Banking and “money centrifuges” to use the technical language of the DISIP report. Remember, this statement is “only” from four years ago.

I am sure the PSF’s will question the veracity of the above pages, they come accompanied by a letter from the auditor and many other documents, but they also come with information that can only come from a real report, such as his passport: (Copy here)

So, Mr. Russian may want to look into this to see if his statement that corruption has decreased in Venezuela during his tenure is true or not. While he is at it, he may also check on Arne Chacon and his partner and the half a billion dollars they spent this year on financial institutions.

And if that is not enough, he may want to check into those involved in the Maletagate scandal. These guys “only” were worth a few hundred million of questionable origin and as far as I know they have yet to be investigated.
